Our Mission
The special education department is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA 2004) in the identification and evaluation, eligibility, and individualized education programming for children with disabilities ages 3-21 years old.
Child Find
The Webster County School District is committed to an ongoing effort to identify, locate, and evaluate children age 3 through the age of 21 who have a physical, mental, communicative and/or emotional disability.

Preschool Referrals
Webster County School District, in accordance with the IDEA, provides services for 3, 4, and 5-year-old preschool children with “special needs” who meet state eligibility criteria.
The Webster County District is attempting to identify children who may be delayed in two or more of the following developmental areas:
Cognitive (thinking/reasoning skills)
Social/Emotional Skills
Gross Motor Skills (hopping, skipping, jumping)
Fine Motor Skills
Speech/Language
If you know of children who may qualify for special help in these developmental areas, or if you know a child may have a hearing, vision, or physical impairment, please have the parent /guardian contact us at (662) 258-2854 ext.12.
